Places
There’s no place like home. Gingoog City is my favorite spot aside from the fact that it’s the place where I grow up (though I only grew figuratively by just little inch :P) it’s the place where I learned so much things in life, it’s the place where I earned my friends who still are my friends after high school. It’s Gingoog City that I left to pursue my college education in Iligan City. But nothing still beats Gingoog from other places I’ve been to. From it’s peacefulness and simplicity and the warm people living there. In fact many foreigners are now flocking in in the city, they are more likely to live there and never go back to their foreign country because they found a home in Gingoog. At least that’s what I observed. Gingoog though a small city is a promising land that offers entertainment to simple people like me. Want to live in a city that you could visit a beach easily? Choose Gingoog! Beaches lies attractively around it from Duka beach to Badiangon to Talisayan and all. Pictures shown here is the Sta. Rita church which is the patron of the city. In front of it is the newly renovated plaza with wondrous flowers dwelling in it and a man made fountain too.

You’ll be amazed to see sculptures of fruits along with the plaza. This is a project of the government to showcase the farm products and the famous fruits growing in the city. You may ask why fruits? It’s because Gingoog is an agricultural city. See pictures below.

And what’s more special about these fruits is that my uncle is the main sculptor

Nothing special with this post, just want to share to you the wedding gown I found online that makes my heart beats a little faster from the very moment I set my eyes on it. Me likes! So much!! Every woman has her dream gown, don’t tell me I’m wrong with this position. You have the ideal gown in your mind too. This one made me stare for it many times for I found it very unique and has this touch of Filipiniana dress. The protruding shoulder makes it catchy (don’t know what’s the right term for this :-P) . Modern style at the lower part but has this traditional laces and see through on the upper part. Now let the images do the talking.

Me likes the fluffy feathery texture. With that being said, see the gown in different views.

My heart goes to all the families and friends of the Maguindanao massacre victims. I think that’s the saddest news I’ve ever heard this year. Imagine? Killing humans just because of selfish political ambitions. It’s not a teaching of God. That fact could break anybody’s heart. Aside from the killing happened in Maguindanao, what went more sad is to learn how bad people became just to get what they want.
Monday, Nov. 23 when the mass killings happened in Maguindanao. 100 armed men stopped the convoy of Mangudadatu while on their way to file for the candidacy of vice-mayor Toto Mangudadatu for governor in their province. Most person who went with the convoy is women because they believe they will not be harmed by their political rival as believed that in rido teachings, women are untouchables. But it went wrong this time, no life is spared. even the media men were killed. Now this makes Philippines the most dangerous country for journalist. Even I, became afraid of the country that I lived in, I feel no safe being here specifically in Mindanao. I think I cannot put my trust to politicians anymore and more so the government administration, I don’t really know what their motive is. Now that election is coming, I find it hard to pick the right person to vote for different government positions. I might sound pathetic here.
This problem need to be solved now, not later. I don’t know what is the next step that the president will take after announcing day of mourning yesterday November 25, 2009. I want to see more action about this than just talk and talk. Hope this will not be a dump case.
God bless Philippines!
