Once again a Kumbira was held in Cagayan de Oro City. Kumbira which is a native word of feast is the term used for the Annual culinary show and competition. It was participated by Mindanao Schools, universities and other institutions. Many students flocked during the event at Limketkai’s Atrium last August 18-20. I together with Bryan was intrigued by the crowd and the shouts, and as we saw uniquely crafted food displays on the table we know its going to be fun exploring and taking pictures of the presentation. Luckily, we witnessed a bar tending show that time while we tour around the atrium. It was fun seeing the foods and I began to imagine how they actually come up with the designs, from breads to fruits to desserts, all tempting to look at.
The cakes that are prepared for weddings and baptismal are wonderful to look at. I may not want to eat them if they are offered during events, its hard to slice and destroy the beauty of such goodies hehe.
In bread category, the Best Bake bakeshop won as champion. Other participants were Missy Bonbon, Bigby’s and among others.
I was a bit surprise to see an entry of my alma mater MSU-IIT. Here is the entry for food and vegetable carving:
A lively and breath taking bar tending was showcased in the event. Everybody shouted when a bottle dropped or when the presentation was perfect.
Random pics below showing few of the delectable displays I almost grabbed.
These are tiny chicken and an egg is inserted in it. It must taste good from the look of it.
You Bryan always looking for a good place to pose. hehe. Okay you look great in there.
