How to Help Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City

I am devastated that 2 of the cities where I spent years is greatly affected with typhoon Sendong (international code: Washi) and flood. Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City is in state of calamity right now and trying to recover.

Aside from donating, I realized what else I can contribute in this tough time is to spread information on how other people can extend help with the flood victims both in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City.

Together let us stand and show some care to the less fortunate who lost their love ones and homes. They need food, water, clothing, footwear, shelter where they can stay for the mean time. You can give stuffs like bed sheets, pillows for warmth as victims stayed in an open area of evacuation centers.

There’s still no water supply here, the stores even the supermarkets are running out of bottled water. No restaurant is open. And many people are still walking looking for somewhere to shelter. If interested to help, please read more info below as to how. Anything you have you can share it.

Death toll is rising, embalmers are tired (no sleep), dead bodies are easily decayed because of the mud, there are shortage of coffins. Everywhere is total chaos. SO PLEASE HELP!!!
