Just arrived home after watching the much awaited sci fi movie Avatar. At first I was skeptical to spend 2 hours just to watch it but I’ve heard enough reviews and feedbacks that it’s a must see movie so I made up my mind to go for it and I’m not mistaken, ‘twas the best sci fi movie I’ve ever seen on screen. Your money would not go to waste. If you want some tearing up with your heart, go watch it. I was teary eyed seeing actions and emotions torn apart portrayed by characters who played best in their roles. This one would leave such a remarkable and huge message. It’s not only action packed but a heartwarming movie too, giving you the idea to take care of what we have. It awakened a nature lover out of me while watching those culprits destroying Pandora. In conclusion, I highly recommend Avatar to all.

So what do you expect if these two worlds meet?

There would be clashings and bombardings.

But I find it pretty amazing that even though men and women have different worlds apart, they still find each other attractive.

There are things that hinder men from blending in to a woman’s world. I’m not complaining about it but I find it magical that God made us differently but still find others interestingly that’s why we try to mingle and conquer others world.

If you are a guy you would probably rant about women’s stuff like doing some make up, shopping, the dysmenorrhea thing, girl’s hang outs, the girly get-ups! Am I right? And you would have almost cried out waiting for your girl to finally come out from her room after fixing herself for almost an hour. Yes I’m right again! But does the wait worth it? Giving a little patience for your girl makes her feel appreciated and loved and also could give her a sense that you are supporting her through her interest. After all, she’s making herself appear more beautiful for you. That would make you smile then.

And when you do shopping do you usually give that mocking face to your girl because she cannot decide what to buy? For us girls, it’s a common thing that we are choosy. We try to pick the things we buy that suits to our taste, we don’t pick them because we are in a hurry, we pick them because we love them. I admit that it takes time for me to choose what to buy that’s because I make sure that I can really use it for a lifetime haha. Guys please be patient more, girls would love it if you were there helping her to choose out rather than finding you at the other department mumbling.

Girls need girlfriends. There are times that girls really needs some help and pouring out to a girl. Don’t make second thoughts that we don’t want to be with you, just a simple fact that we misses some time alone with our girlfriends. Sometimes they are the ones who can understand our feelings.

And when a woman doesn’t approach you, that don’t mean that she has given up, it just means she wants you to initiate, after all you’ll be a future father and you’ll end up leading a family. It’s the right time to practice and lead the two of you to the right path.

I know you have some reactions for these things I have written and kinda protest. Don’t worry you have your own time, comment up and I’ll listen to your position. (assuming I have many readers ^-^)

A gelato stall has just newly opened at Robinson’s second floor right at the entrance of Robinson’s grocery.  In case you don’t know what gelato means, it is a rich ice cream made with eggs and usually containing a relatively low percentage of butterfat. I tried twice with different flavor, it was very blissful. Though its price is P45 per cup but it justifies the quality. Two thumbs up for me!

I regret that I have never taken good care of my eyes. Bad habits like reading while lying in bed, reading in dark areas, not eating the right foods contributed much to this problem I’m having with my eyesight right now. Myopia (Nearsightedness) is a vision impairment which prevents me from seeing far objects clearly. Only the near ones can be read, I cannot read letters and banners shown on streets. During college I also had to go nearer on the blackboard while on class so I can copy what’s written on the board.

Last week was a blast; I pampered my eyes by purchasing it a new pair of glasses, its been ages that it’s been taken for granted. I have eyeglasses before but haven’t worn them always for I am not comfortable with it, too heavy for me. I would not take these new eyeglasses off except when I go to sleep, that’s a simple advice from the ophthalmologist. I was sad to hear the news after a check up that my right eye just got worst. God I’m guilty to what I have done with thy gifts.

Just to prove that I’m back to caring my eyes I purchase a Kappa eyeglasses. Psychologically pricing it is, I was convinced to buy it because it’s on 50% sale and had totally forgotten the high original price. Huh, later then I realized I paid high enough for it. Okay I just decided that this would be my gift for myself this Christmas.

I immediately put the eyeglasses on while trying to find Christmas ideas at the mall. I was introduced to a new view making me see clearly of what is really existing. I hope I’m not missing on something. I smiled as I see objects clearly specially the views when we pass through the hi-way. Hello world! It’s been a long time I haven’t seen you this close, is this how the world looks like?

And before enjoying the scene and twinkling lights from afar, we had our dinner at Dimsum.

Simple dinner it is, we had their dim sum platter and shanghai rice. I’m starting to get hungry now since lunchbreak is just 30 minutes to go.

KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is a famous and booming food chain not only in our country but all over the continents.

A glimpse of the life of the founder of the famous chicken food chain:

In 1930, the then 40-year-old Sanders was operating a service station in Corbin, Kentucky, and it was there that he began cooking for hungry travelers who stopped in for gas. He didn’t have a restaurant yet, so patrons ate from his own dining table in the station’s humble living quarters. It was then that he invented what’s called “home meal replacement” - selling complete meals to busy, time-strapped families. He called it, “Sunday Dinner, Seven Days a Week.”
As Sanders’ fame grew, Governor Ruby Laffoon made him a Kentucky Colonel in 1935 in recognition of his contributions to the state’s cuisine. Within four years, his establishment was listed in Duncan Hines’ “Adventures in Good Eating.”
As more people started coming strictly for the food, he moved across the street to increase his capacity. Over the next decade, he perfected his secret blend of 11 herbs and spices and the basic cooking technique that is still used today.
In 1955, confident of the quality of his fried chicken, the Colonel devoted himself to developing his chicken franchising business. Less than 10 years later, Sanders had more than 600 KFC franchises in the U.S. and Canada, and in 1964 he sold his interest in the U.S. company for $2 million to a group of investors including John Y. Brown Jr. (who later became governor of Kentucky).

Interesting story right?

It’s always ‘I can’t stop on popping’ line that’s repeating on my head as I enjoyed one of their special menus. Hmm the taste and smell just feels so right. This is an incredible chicken meal I ever had and I’m not mistaken with the choice I made for the dinner.

We went home smiling and satisfied with our dinner. And when I try to remember that evening, I can’t help but salivate. Silly me! :P~

Before making our steps to the floor of party, me and some of my officemates meet and gather at Mom’s Corner to have some snack. It is just few steps from the venue of the party which is Grand City Hotel so we definitely chose it for convenience. We ordered just light snacks to fill in our tummy before indulging to heavy dinner.

Well, my patience was really tested with the kind of service they have. They are not prompt in giving our orders and it takes almost an hour before foods were finally served, unbelievable! I don’t know what takes them for so long to prepare such snacks.

One more thing, my officemate got the wrong order but just take it anyway.

Their food is great but service? Nah I don’t think so.

Take good care of your hair. Hairs are on their weakest condition when wet. So make sure to do the best thing to maintain its beauty and avoid breakage and damage. Here are tips to consider in drying your hair:

1. First scrunch-dry the hair, using fingers to wipe off excess water and moisture.
2. Then pat-dry the hair always in the direction of the hair, i.e. from top to the end, using a soft towel. Avoid vigorous rubbing with the towel.
3. Don’t ever tie the wet hair, twisting it tightly in a towel in a turban-style knot at the back or at the top of the head. This is a sure way of losing hair.

4. After the hair is semi-dry, comb it with a wide-toothed comb and leave it if you are one of those whose hair sets naturally into place.
5. If you are in a hurry use a blow-dryer, however keep in mind that excessive use of dryer is bad. But if it is a must, these rules can limit damage to a very large extent.
Apply a protein-based mousse on the hair before drying. This protects the hair and also gives bounce to it. Mousse should always be applied on the scalp and then to the ends. Keep the heat of the dryer at minimum. Also, one should keep the dryer 4 inches away from the scalp.

Today is indeed not an ordinary day. Lovers have a special day in a month, though everyday is a celebration of love, there is a special day that you would not forget. I know you get the idea already.
It turns out that the longer you’d be together with your partner, the closeness becomes even more stronger. I believe that each person involve in a meaningful relationship should continuously make the effort to make it work. Relationship is a two way process that you and your partner should work out to replenish and nurture everyday. As what’s the saying goes ‘Love does not die naturally, it dies because you didn’t replenish its cup’. Lovers should also be supporting each other of the interest of their partner.

You know what’s the secret of a lasting relationship? According to Bro. Bo it is by discovering new things of your partner everyday that makes the relationship wonderful. Always see the goodness of your partner and discover his/her likes so the excitement and attraction would still be present.

And of course make God as the center of your relationship. Who would you turn to in times of happiness and sadness? It is Him.

I’m glad my partner supports me with my passion in photography. See how I took pictures at the other side of Cagayan de Oro City. It was my first time to see the view, it was spectacular. The air is so fresh and cold, never did I imagine that a place like this has existed in this city. The place is surrounded with hills and mountains. And when I first saw their farm, I associate it with Farmville. Lol! But this one is the real farm, this is not the game we play at facebook.

We were expecting that their chicken tasted different from other restaurants for they are known for that specialty. But there’s nothing special, but I’m not saying that we’re disappointed with it. It’s still good.

The day is beautifully crafted and happy to have discovered new things

Most of us girls have been doing all sort of things to pave our way to stunning beauty. Some have undergone straightening their hair to make it manageable and won’t look frizzy. True that our hair could be expose to treatments like relaxing, heating it to extreme temperature to the point that it loses its own natural moisture, and dyeing it could make the condition of the hair worst. Mine is now experiencing hair fall. I’m starting to get nervous with this since I got a very thin layer of hair. When I start to see fallen hairs on my bed or after I comb, I came to think of what solution to take to solve this one.

Some sources said that washing your hair daily with a protein shampoo can help prevent hair loss. These shampoos contain hydrolyzed animal proteins or thickeners. They coat the actual hair shaft when used in your hair, thus making your hair thicker. The resulting effect is hair that is fluffier and fuller looking. This type of hair is the one I’ve been dying to achieve.
Homemade Remedies:

A good homemade conditioner for thin hair is white vinegar. Take a large spoon of white vinegar and about 500 ML water. Mix the two and then massage it into your hair after shampooing. The vinegar has a high acidic level and thus helps change the chemical balance of your hair. This gives your hair more body and allows it to appear thicker. Another positive is that the vinegar does not leave an odor in your hair. However make sure to rinse your hair well after applying the conditioner.

Lime juice can be applied to the scalp and allowed to dry for some time before taking a head bath. This will arrest fling hair by keeping the scalp clean and healthy.

You can also apply a paste of Fenugreek seeds soaked overnight and apply it all over the scalp. Allow it to sink in for about an hour before taking a bath.

Applying coconut milk all over the scalp is also another effective solution for falling hair. Using castor oil as hair oil regularly will also help in preventing hair from falling.
Iodine and vitamin B1 deficiency can also be the factors that lead to falling hair. Therefore look for solutions with a combination of home remedies and mild medications for a proper solution for your falling hair.
The best way to prevent hair loss is to stimulate the production of natural oils from the sebaceous glands situated in your scalp. This natural oil or sebum is essential for nourishing your hair and keeping it healthy, therefore allowing it grow strong while avoiding unnecessary breakage. Therefore after washing your hair rub and massage your scalp well until it starts to heat up. Once this happens the blood circulation to your scalp increases and the sebum glands are subsequently stimulated.
However, there is no quick fix solution to falling hair. Regular and timely care is the only lasting solution to falling hair.

During my stay in Iligan City, my friends and I spent some time at Tita Fannies Chicken and Liempo Haus. It is well known and is very affordable specially to us students who have a very tight budget. That’s why when I heard that Tita Fannies is opening a new branch here in Cagayan de Oro City, I swore to myself to visit it oftentimes. It is conveniently located at Coralles Street, a distant  from Cogon. Their business opened last September 2008 here in CdO.

We chose Tita Fannies to spend our dinner with. It was still early that time for dinner, I think its 5:00 in the afternoon. Obviously customers are still few and the restaurant is not yet busy.

Meet my new found friend, flowerhorn fish. It knows how to pose and confident in the camera. I really had fun looking at it.

On our table was Bryan’s sizzling liempo and calamares. I had to convince him that Tita Fannies liempo is the best when we had our first dinner at the said restaurant last year. After one year, liempo is still present at the table whenever we dine there.

I prefer Calamares dipped with soy sauce rather than the mayonnaise they served. And I removed the bread crumbs before eating. Taste more delicious to me
