Dysmenorrhea: A Woman’s Dilemma

One of the most unfavorable aspects of being a woman is her monthly period which most of us at the time suffers a lot from its accompanied pain called dysmenorrhea. I cannot bear the pain when it hit me and all I want to do is just lie down at bed all day long and wish that the pain would go away. But sadly, my wish isn’t granted that easy. I remember a time during my college days when we had an educational trip at another city when I had my period, I didn’t enjoy the trip and missed the fun my friends had, and all I did was stayed at the car. It is a burden to carry and a hindrance to many activities that I could have done and enjoyed. I almost curse the every first day of my period. I became so frustrated to get rid of such pains. I don’t want to make another unforgettable blue day of my life.

Below are the possible things that a woman feels whenever she suffers from dysmenorrhea, I myself experience these every time I have my monthly period.

All you have to do is remember that gorgeous nails need to be pampered and if you remember these simple tips, you could be in possession of gorgeous nails yourself.

Here’s How:

1. Your nails are going to reflect what you eat. If you are living on burgers and fries, don’t expect your nails to be strong and healthy. Sorry, it just doesn’t work that way. Add a tub of yogurt and you are on your way!

2. Get into the habit of wearing rubber gloves as often as possible. You often forget the abuse your nails actually take. Consider how often they are in water… just for starters.

3. Gardening is another seemingly harmless activity that all the summer magazines suggest to you. While I agree that the exercise is a plus, it’s not so great on your nails. I use gardening gloves and my nails still get dirty, but it’s better than nothing and I have no broken nails at the end of the day.

4. While watching tv, moisturize your hands AND nails with your favorite hand lotion. It’s not only relaxing, it helps strengthen the nails.

5. Cuticles can also use a little attention, but go gently. They need to be pampered and dry cuticles also contribute to hangnails, so be sure to spend a little time on them daily.

6. Luckily at the moment, nails are fashionably short. That means that there is less nail to snap off and that is a bonus. Keep them trimmed and your nails will last longer.

7. While some nails benefit from not using polish, mine seem to love the stuff. If they are polished, I seem to notice them more and devote a little more attention to them. They really seem to like that.

8. Keep emery boards everywhere. The worse thing that can happen to pretty nails is a snag and your teeth.

Exercises to Achieve a Flat Tummy

Unfortunately that is not possible so exercising and plastic surgery are the only way to get rid of the flabby tummy and get those envied abs.

The most effective exercises for a flat tummy are bicycle exercises and crunches.

Crunches can be done simple by laying on the floor or using an exercise ball.
Simple crunches can be done laying on your back on the floor.

Put a blanket under you or an exercise floor mat so you won’t feel the floor as hard. Place both of your hands under your head and you can hold your knees up or keep your legs flat on the floor.

Contract your abdomen and lift your torso until you reach a 45º angle.
Lay back on the floor slowly and repeat several times.
Start with as many as you can, do the same number of crunches for a few days and after that increase the number.

Crunches using an exercise ball are very effective.
Place the ball on the floor and sit on it keeping your feet on the floor.
Roll the ball further back so it supports your lower body. Lay back until your body is parallel to the floor.

Contract your abs, place your hands under your head and raise the torso until you reach a 45º angle. Lay back again and repeat several times, keeping your feet apart and after that pulling them closer together.

For the bicycle exercise you need to lay back on the floor and lift one of your legs just as you would be standing on your knee.
Place your hands under your head and touch your right elbow and your left knee, then switch to left elbow, right knee.
Keep alternating the legs just as you would be pedaling on a bicycle.

Do these exercises for a flat tummy on a regular basis to get the results.

Make your own Homemade Hair Spray

a. Chop one lemon (or an orange for dry hair).

b. Place in a pot with 2 cups water.

c. Boil until half of the initial amount remains.

d. Cool, strain, and place in a spray bottle.

e. Store in the refrigerator. If it is too sticky, add more water.

Add one ounce rubbing alcohol as a preservative and then the spray can be stored for up to two weeks unrefrigerated.

Use Sunblock
One of the easiest ways to stay fair is to use sunblock on a daily basis. Find a moisturizer that includes an SPF of 15 or higher and use it every morning after washing your face. Sunblock not only prevents your skin from getting darker, but also blocks harmful UV rays that can cause cancer and premature aging. Remember your hands when applying sunblock, as they are a prime area for age spots.

Exfoliate
Exfoliating once a week will remove dead skin cells to lighten and brighten your skin. Mix two tablespoons oatmeal and two tablespoons brown sugar with a quarter cup of milk, and stir until a paste forms. Gently scrub your face, rinse, and moisturize.

Make a Mask
A homemade mask is a great way to lighten your skin and a good excuse to kick back on the couch. Try using one once a week. Use one tablespoon of each of the following: sandalwood paste, lemon juice, tomato juice, and cucumber juice. Mix them all together to form a paste. Spread the mixture on your face and wait until it dries. Rinse and moisturize for a natural glow.

Licorice Extract
Licorice extract contains glabridin, a component that acts as a natural skin whitener. Apply a thin layer of the extract morning and evening, after you wash your face and before you moisturize. Licorice extract can be found at any health food store or ordered online. Be sure to store the bottle in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness. Note: test a small amount on the back of your arm before using on your face to be sure you do not have an allergic reaction.

When I was just a kid, my cousin would fetch me at my house and invites me to join her watch Michael Jackson on a television set. Michael was always alive with his most courageous voice. Every time he dances, you can’t stop to stamp your feet to the beat of the music he produces. We as a child always enjoyed that moment, which we can hear and experience his unique talent. I personally admire him for his moonwalk moves. He is truly amazing and inspirational, he broke down the barriers of racial discrimination and proved something to himself and to the world that he can stand out the crowd as a black American. It was during my childhood years since he started his victory and glory in 1980’s. Michael was also human but I believe he never experienced his childhood with so much fun and in a way that a normal children does. I can feel that he misses childhood, being a teen ager because of his hectic schedules doing concerts and recording. Maybe, that could be the reason he loved children. I sympathized him for that. Although there were allegedly rumors that he abused his own child or other kids, I still admired him for his inspiration to poor kids who have the same ambition as his to become someone in the future and to support that famous song ‘Heal the World’

He is a legend to me and he once touched my life.
